Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Upland plain modelled by a glacier. Unique paleontological locality. Layers of "coaly" limestones within the shales of the Culmian facies with abundant macrofossils of the Upper Viséan age. Paleontologically and morphologically significant locality. It is explained as a carbonate olistolith within the turbidite Culm facies. This locality is registered as a Nature Monument.
